ALTE OPER BACKSTAGE

Many people wonder what happens backstage and in the catacombs of concert halls before the artists and stars enter the stage and the concert begins. In order to provide these intimate and very different insights to the approximately 490,000 visitors to the Alte Oper Frankfurt each year, the Alte Oper developed the film series "Alte Oper Backstage". The format, which has been implemented and further developed by Seehund Media. since 2016, documents the preparations and processes of a wide variety of events from the fields of classical music and entertainment. Top-class interview partners such as Sir Simon Rattle, Teodor Currentzis, Sol Gabetta and many more, provide exciting stories and insights into their work, but also about Frankfurt and the Alte Oper itself, in addition to the moving images.

Moreover, the stars and employees of the Alte Oper are also the focus of individual episodes. These shed a light on their work and the activities that viewers usually don't hear about. For example, there are episodes in which the activities of the stage manager or one of the concert technicians are illuminated.
