THE ODENWALD IN CHANGE
Six-part documentary series on climate and environmental issues in the Odenwald
The six-part documentary series “The Odenwald in Transition” tells stories about climate and environmental topics with a focus on the Odenwald region. At the same time, we highlight the beauty of the Odenwald and provide positive impulses to rediscover nature.
Climate change is not a distant issue—it also affects the Odenwald. That’s why the company SPIR STAR, together with filmmaker Matthias Kulozik and the film production company Seehund Media from Darmstadt, launched the film project “The Odenwald in Transition – Nature, People, and Climate.”
In each episode, experts and passionate nature observers share their experiences and commitment to preserving nature in the Odenwald. They explain ecological connections and offer tips on how to explore the region in a mindful and nature-friendly way. The series illustrates how environmental changes are increasingly affecting the Odenwald and shows how people, animals, and nature are responding. Each episode focuses on a specific theme: forest, orchard meadows, biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, evolving entrepreneurship, and water. We feature local voices who are actively working toward a sustainable future.
